Kombucha fermentation can slow down or become less predictable when room temperatures change throughout the day. This heating wrap fits around a fermentation jar to provide gentle, evenly distributed warmth for more consistent home brewing conditions. Its adjustable temperature controller lets users select a suitable setting rather than relying on uncontrolled heat. The wrap can also support other temperature-sensitive fermentation projects, including yogurt, bread dough, sauerkraut, fermented beans, and homemade wine.

Adjustable Temperature For Greater Brewing Control

The controller offers a temperature range of 45°F to 113°F, or 5°C to 45°C, allowing the heat to be adjusted according to the fermentation project. Once the selected temperature is reached, the heating function automatically pauses to help prevent continuous unnecessary warming. This creates a more controlled setup when indoor conditions are cooler or fluctuate between day and night. Always choose a temperature appropriate for the specific culture or recipe rather than using the highest setting by default.

Temperature Sensor For Ongoing Monitoring

An NTC sensor can be positioned near the fermenter’s body or bottle opening to monitor the surrounding temperature during use. The connected controller displays the detected temperature, making it easier to check conditions without repeatedly removing the wrap. This feedback helps users make informed adjustments when the room becomes colder or warmer. Secure the probe according to the instructions and remember that the displayed external temperature may differ slightly from the liquid at the centre of the container.

Even Heating With A Wipe-Clean Exterior

Graphene heating film and an insulating PET layer help spread warmth across the wrapped area rather than concentrating it at one small point. The waterproof PVC exterior can be wiped clean when minor spills or residue collect around the fermentation station. Its flexible format is designed to wrap around compatible jars while remaining easy to reposition between batches. Keep the controller, plug, and electrical connections dry even though the wrap’s outer surface is water-resistant.
